May 18, 2022 – As the academic year winds down, projects with local school districts are picking up. Our summer will be jam-packed with upgrades to keep local schools on track for the 2022/23 year. For the next 3 to 4 months, we’ll address several capital improvement projects so they will have a reliable vertical transportation system when the kids come back to class.

Schools rely on their elevator systems to move teachers, children, supplies, and food. We are excited to be working with Woodridge School District 68 – Woodridge, IL, Argo High School – Summit, IL and Elmhurst University – Elmhurst, IL on important equipment upgrades.  These upgrades are to address aging elevator systems, obsolescence and proprietary equipment replacements.  During the summer we are also installing 3 new hydraulic elevator systems for the Chicago Public Schools.

In addition to equipment upgrades, we are working with several districts to coordinate the newly mandated state testing during summer break. Required on all elevators that can be sent into Fireman’s Emergency Recall, the FAID test will require a third-party licensed inspector to witness fire recall testing. Note – City of Chicago is exempt from this requirement.

As we continue to expand throughout the Chicagoland area, we strive to be the preferred service provider in the low- to mid-rise maintenance and modernization categories. We maintain and service more than 2200 elevators in our portfolio; more than 150 of which are under contract at academic institutions.
