(April 24, 2025) \u2013 Colley Elevator Company announced the approval of its \u2018Elevator 101<\/em>\u2019 course for continuing education credit towards the Community Association Manager (CAM) License. Approved as an elective for 1 credit hour, the course is aimed at providing community association managers and property managers with a better understanding of their elevator equipment.<\/p>\n

The Community Association Manager (CAM) License is regulated by IDFPR, the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation – Division of Real Estate. IDFPR serves as the state\u2019s head regulatory agency that ensures professional licensees meet the legislative and regulatory requirements enacted to protect Illinois\u2019 consumers.<\/p>\n

IDFPR is the second governing body to approve continuing education credit for Colley\u2019s ‘Elevator 101<\/em>‘ course. Previously it had been approved for one credit hour by the Community Association Managers International Certification Board (CAMICB) for the Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA\u00ae) certification.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re excited to receive continuing education credit approval for the second time. When developing \u2018Elevator 101<\/em>\u2019, our goal was to educate managers so they become a better resource for condominium boards and the buildings they serve,\u201d says Craig Zomchek, the company\u2019s Managing Partner, \u201cGiven as a lunch and learn workshop, the course elaborates on code mandates including the approaching A17.1 2022 update<\/a><\/span>, equipment obsolescence, preventative maintenance, and capital planning for modernizations.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
